MARLOW, NEW HAMPSHIRE - NH - POSTCARD COLLECTION - MANY REAL PHOTOS - RPPC
Located a short distance from my bookshop this collection of cards nicely documents this small village in Cheshire County, NH with a population of a little over 700.  The Ashuelot River provided the water power to produce tools, furniture and wooden buckets from lumber cut nearby. By 1859, when the population was 708, there were seven sawmills, a gristmill, a carriage shop, a tin shop, and two tanneries in the village.
Sorry, the images are not as clear as I would like because of the glare from the sleeves the cards are in, but you see the subject of each.  I welcome questions, and if you would like to come and see them in person, that can be easily arranged, just contact me.  The cards range from Undivided Back to modern Chrome. Images include: Marlow Village from Bald Mountain; Main Street; Jones Hall; Marlow School; IOOF Hall and M.E. Church; Wenonah Isle; Library and Hall; Chester & Gordon Davis in uniform; and, more.
