The older we get around here, the more difficult it becomes to thread a needle when we need to sew on a button or darn a hole.  Fortunately for us we found this neat little tailor's friend which is a handy device to have around if you do much needle threading at all.  It has a 3/32" loop with a white LED below it so you can see what you’re doing. All you need do is thread to loop through the needle’s eye then wet the thread to slick all the strands down, and then stick the thread through the loop.  Then you pull the loop back through the needle eye and Voltaire: your needle is threaded.  We’ve included a pair of button-cell batteries to light the LED and the threader has a cover  so it won’t get bent out of shape while not in use, and it has a little hook so you can clip it somewhere you can remember where it is when you need it.  Then if you can find your glasses to wear when you are hunting it down then you will be all set.
