.That works out to approx. 73¢ per image. We're offering these discs now for .95 which is
LESS than 12¢ per image.
Even the lowest cost online rights-free stock photography today is .00 an image or when a special deal is available 60¢ an image in bulk. Still almost 8X the price of any of these images. From most online sources even ONE quality image can cost the same as this entire disk.
When PhotoDisc went online in 1995 a buyer could purchase a SINGLE IMAGE online from PhotoDisc for .95 for a 600K file or .95 for a 10MB file.
Published by PhotoDisc, which became part of Getty Images in 1998. Runs on both Macintosh and Windows. Each image was scanned on state-of-the-art scanners, painstakingly retouched, and color corrected for the highest quality.
These discs were well cared for. They are not scratched or damaged. The photos are of the actual product for sale.
When I attempted to open these discs on my 5-year old iMacPro with an external Apple CD drive they wouldn't open. However, when I inserted the discs into my (2001) PowerBookG4 laptop, which has an internal CD drive, and they opened right up!
